EGEN 101 - Introduction Engineering Calculations & Problem Solving3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec., 3 Lab) This course focuses on developing problem solving and calculation skills that students need to succeed in their engineering fundamental courses and career. Engineering fundamentals, such as force, acceleration, density, temperature, pressure, and energy, are introduced to expose students to various problem-solving strategies. Students are taught how to solve and communicate engineering problems and leverage computer software such as spreadsheets, graphics programs, and database programs. In addition, an introduction to engineering design is presented and a small group-based design project completed.
Prerequisite(s): EGEN 100 or Co-Requisite: M 151 or M 171 . Course generally offered both semesters.
