CSCI 347 - Data Mining3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) Provides a grounding in data mining techniques and prepares students to design, use, and evaluate these techniques in a variety of application domains and for the purpose of decision support. Topics include decision trees, rule based systems, statistical approaches, and instance-based approaches.
Prerequisite(s): (CSCI 116 or CSCI 135 ) and (M 121 or higher) and (STAT 216 or higher) Course generally offered 2nd semester.
