STAT 216 - Introduction to Statistics3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.)
Studies of basic probability, probability distributions, statistical measures of center and dispersion, bivariate relationships, sampling procedures, point and interval estimation, and hypothesis testing.
Prerequisite(s): M 140 , M 121 , STAT 131 , M 105 or higher or required test scores: ACT 22-23, SAT section score 550-570; ALEKS 46-60: or College Success 115-150 Satisfies Math core. Course generally offered year round.
