STAT 456 - Bayesian Statistical Inference3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course introduces the student to subjective probability, Law of Total Probability, Bayes Theorem, prior and posterior distributions, conjugate priors, non-informative priors, Bayesian estimation, credible intervals, Bayesian hypothesis testing, prediction, Gibbs sampling, hierarchical Bayesian analysis, and computer implemented data analysis.
Pre-requisite: STAT 332
