EMET 551 - Process Instrumentation and Control

3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.)
This course provides an essential introduction to industrial process flow control strategies. Design of process control loops is a key aspect of the course, and the course material will prepare students to select appropriate instrumentation for a given process. Students should gain an appreciation for precise measurements in order to specify sampling, analytical, mass and energy balance, and metallurgical performance procedures.

Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
