MIN 105 - Introduction To Mining3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) The course is designed to provide an introduction to mining engineering and mining methods commonly encountered in the world’s mining operations. Problems unique to the minerals industry, including ore reserve estimation, surface mining methods, underground mining methods, and the unit operations of drilling, blasting, loading and haulage will be examined. The importance of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) to today’s mining companies will be explored.
