UAS 402 - Basic Flight Lab1 credit The course is designed to prepare trainees to pass the FAA’s Small Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Rule (Part 107) test to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from
the FAA. It will cover aeronautical knowledge including the FAA regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft systems, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying small UASs; Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey data post-process to obtain centimeteraccuracy ground control points (GCPs) and quality control points (QCPs) using Trimble Pathfinder Office; software apps (including apps for automated flight surveys) for flight planning and controls; software for FAA authorization to fly small UASs; and concepts related to ground control surveys for imagery to be used to develop 3D photogrammetric models.
