The Sustainable Energy Technology Certificate of Applied Science program prepares students for operation and maintenance jobs in the rapidly expanding sustainable energy industry. Program graduates have general skills in industrial safety, electrical troubleshooting, circuit analysis, hydraulic and pneumatic system operation and mechanical system repair. These skills are built on a strong educational foundation in math, writing, communications and computing. The program is designed to prepare students for employment in high skill, high demand jobs in wind, solar, geothermal, electronic, and power generation as entry level technicians.

Outcomes

Demonstrate communication, problem solving and technical skills with individual and team learning exercises.
Develop a sense of pride in the students work and the desire to progress and excel in the Wind Energy Technology profession.
Students demonstrate the use of equipment and techniques typically used in the Wind Energy Technician field.
