				Objectives
	To provide students with an exceptional curriculum that encourages professional welding techniques following exacting national welding certifications.To support students in their pursuit of life-time learning and professional development.To provide students opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.To provide students opportunities to work function as part of a team.To prepare students for employment as entry-level welders.   OutcomesGraduates of the Welding Technology program at Highlands College of Montana Tech will: 
	Produce welds in all positions in accordance to national welding standards.Demonstrate fabrication skills in diverse manufacturing environments in a conscientious, precise, and deliberate manner.Demonstrate a solid knowledge base conducive to educational and employment mobility.Utilize fabrication machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner.Utilize interpersonal communication techniques in individual group settings.Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for decisions and actions taken in the work environment.   AssessmentsA combination of direct and indirect measures will be utilized throughout the course of students’ program to measure student achievement.
