SAP Student Recognition Award

The SAP Student Recognition Award program is a nine (9) credit certificate that addresses that provides students with an introduction to the use and application of SAP Enterprise software. SAP is the largest enterprise system software manufacturer in the world and it is estimated that over 75 percent of all global business transactions will pass through a SAP system.

The Certificate aims to provide a solid foundation to the use of an enterprise system which is in demand in the marketplace.  Additionally, the Certificate is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business processes.

This certificate is designed for completion with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

As a Certificate, Montana Tech does not offer federal financial aid for this program.  Some students seeking a degree that is eligible for financial aid may qualify for assistance and should contact Financial Aid at (406) 496-4223 or financialaid@mtech.edu for more information.    

Objectives

The objectives of the SAP Student Recognition Award Certificate are to provide students with training in the use of a business enterprise system as well as an understanding of business processes by achieving some of the following:

The principles of application of the most current SAP software

The principles related to configuration of different business modules

The principles of business analysis using the most current SAP software

The certificate will provide recognition to current and prospective employers.  In addition, the certificate could also provide a first step toward SAP TS410 certification.

Outcomes

    Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of how business transaction s move through a business enterprise software system.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of how different business modules can communicate in a business enterprise module situation.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of various methods of business analysis particularly analysis through an enterprise system.
  4. Use their knowledge and skills to obtain employment post-graduation.

Assessment

Outcome 1: At graduation, students earning the SAP Student Recognition Award Certificate will have the necessary knowledge and skills to demonstrate a comprehension of business enterprise systems.

           Performance Criteria: Ninety-five (95) percent of students enrolled in the program will obtain post graduate employment.

Outcome 2: At graduation, students earning the SAP Student Recognition Award Certificate will have the necessary knowledge and skills to apply the necessary analytics in their program capstone courses.

           Performance Criteria: One-hundred (100) percent of students enrolled in the program will properly apply the necessary analytics to their capstone coursework.

Outcome 3: At graduation, students earning the SAP Student Recognition Award Certificate will have the necessary foundation to continue toward achieving the SAP TS410 certification.

           Performance Criteria: Over fifty (50) percent of students enrolled in the program will continue on to successfully earn SAP TS410 certification.
