EMEC 455 - Mechanical Component Design3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) A study of the fundamentals of mechanical design such as safety factors, shafting, belts, fasteners, welded connections, bearings, gearing, and lubrication. An important part of the course is the selection of the proper material for specific applications.
Prerequisite(s): EGEN 305 . Course generally offered 2nd semester.
