EMAT 570 - Mechanical Behavior Of Materia3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) Treats mechanical properties and behavior of materials with regard to stress and strain. Plastic deformation of crystalline materials is considered. Relationships between microstructure and mechanical strength are developed. Mechanisms for fracture, creep and fatigue are examined.
Prerequisite(s): Senior or Graduate Standing and Consent. Course generally offered 1st semester of even numbered years.
