EELE 355 - Electric Machine Fundamentals3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec., 3 Lab) This course covers advanced topics in AC three phase power, DC generators and motors, AC synchronous alternators and motors including line synchronization, transformers, motor drives, and induction machines used as motors and generators. Laboratory exercises support lecture material and include motor and generator control, speed control, testing, trouble shooting, and torque-speed characteristics.
Prerequisite(s): EELE 201 and EELE 202 . Course generally offered 1st semester.
