PET 301 - Drilling Engineering3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) Introduction to drilling through the study of equipment functions and performance, drilling fluids, wellbore hydraulics and pressure losses in circulation systems, buoyancy, well control, rotary drilling bits, and directional drilling methods.
Prerequisite(s): PET 201 , PET 202 , PHSX 234 , PHSX 236 , EGEN 201 , & EGEN 335 . Course generally offered 1st semester.
