MIN 105 - Introduction To Mining2 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec.) Provides a basic introduction to the elements of mining. Includes unique characteristics of the minerals industry, mining law, sampling and ore reserve estimation, mine finance, surface mining methods, underground mining methods, and the unit operations of drilling, blasting, loading and haulage.
Corequisite(s): M 151 . Course generally offered 1st semester.
