NRSG 410 - Nursing Theory

3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.)

This course is designed to introduce students to nursing theories, philosophies, and models. The student will analyze nursing theories and apply the theory to nursing practice. This course includes the credentials and background of the nurse theorist, major concepts and definitions, theoretical assertions, and critique of their work. Each theory will demonstrate proper utilization and application to current nursing practice and research.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of ASN Program, or consent of instructor.
