HSTA 350 - History Of Indians In Northwest3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course is designed to examine the role Native Americans have played in the development of the United States. The first half of the course will examine pre-Columbian peoples on a regional basis. It will emphasize their cultural diversity and complexity and the impact of a conflicting value system on their lives. With this as a background, the second half of the course will concentrate on the culture and history of the native peoples of the Northwest from first contact through the reservation system.
Prerequisite(s): HSTA 101 & HSTA 102 or Junior Standing. Satisfies Humanities & Fine Arts core. Course offered on demand.
