GEO 101 - Introduction to Physical Geology3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec., 3 Lab) An introduction to Earth materials and the processes operating at and beneath the surface of the earth. Basic concepts of geological engineering are introduced. Mineral and rock identification, topographic map reading, and basic interpretation of geologic maps are covered in lab. A working knowledge of basic trigonometry is recommended
Satisfies upper division Writing core. Course generally offered both semesters.
