EMET 533 - Comminution and Physical Separations

3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.)
This course details the processes of size reduction via crushing and grinding, particle sizing via screening and classifying, and separations based on physical properties including gravity, magnetic, and electrostatic separations. Students will learn about important considerations for fundamental mineral processing unit operations and develop strategies for selecting and sizing process equipment.

Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
