EMEC 535 - Rocket Propulsion3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This class will introduce the principles and practice of rocket propulsion in the many forms used in aerospace applications. Students will apply the fundamentals of thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry and ideal rocket equations to the study of rocket engine and rocket system performance. The flight performance of rocket powered vehicles within and outside the atmosphere and an introduction to orbital mechanics will be introduced.
Prerequisite(s): (EGEN 324 or EMEC 320 ) and EGEN 335 .
