EGEN 324 - Applied Thermodynamics3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) The study of energy and its transformation, the processes involved and properties of the substances employed. Topics include the first and second laws of thermodynamics, enthalpy, entropy, available energy, ideal gases, the phases of pure substances, mixtures and psychometry. Selected applications are covered as time permits.
Prerequisite(s): PHSX 235 or MIN 300 . Course generally offered both semesters.
