OSH 429 - Sampling & Evaluation2 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec.) Teaches sampling techniques and procedures as stipulated by occupational safety and health regulatory agencies for evaluating occupational health hazards arising from chemical and physical agents in the workplace. It includes the calibration and use of personal monitoring and direct reading instrumentation for the assessment of worker exposures to common industrial hazards including air contaminants, noise, and thermal stresses. Taken with laboratory (1) credit.
Prerequisite(s): OSH 421 ; PHSX 121 . Corequisite(s): OSH 430 Lab Course generally offered 2nd semester.
