I.H. 5156 - Occupational and Community Noise3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course is designed to familiarize students with the evaluation and control of occupational and environmental noise. The physics of sound, mechanisms of hearing loss, selection of appropriate noise evaluation techniques, instruments, analysis of data, and design and selection of noise controls are emphasized.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate Standing or Consent of Instructor. Course generally offered 1st semester.
