Minimum credits for a B.S. degree in Chemistry with an option in Biochemistry: 120
Students completing this program earn a degree certified by the American Chemical Society.
Students planning on medical school should take Sociology and Intro to Psychology as their social science electives.
The Biochemistry track requires 6 Chemistry/Science Electives. Suggested Chemistry/Science Electives: CHMY 371/372 immunology, Virology, Biotechniques, differential equations.
Other suggested electives: Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2 with lab (pharmacy, medical, dental, or PA school), microeconomics (pharmacy)
CHMY 401 is only offered during fall semesters and on an every other year basis.
